Elder Dawn C. Burrell is the Organizer and Senior Pastor of New Creations Christian Church and Ministries located in Lanham, Maryland.  Starting with three members, in March of 2002, this church ministry continues to steadily grow.  Pastor Burrell has a heart for God and a love for the people of God everywhere.  She has assisted in birthing several church plants, organized ministries, and has been called by many, a trailblazer and a pioneer. In December 2002 Bishop Kelsey formally installed and consecrated Pastor and Minister Burrell and New Creations Christian Church and Ministries. Bishop Kelsey continues to serve as their spiritual father and pastoral covering.  Pastor Burrell is the wife of Minister Charles E. Burrell and mother of his two daughters, Candace Moriah and Charisma Faith.

Pastor Burrell has been affiliated with the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Washington, D.C. since February 2001, was ordained under Overseer Dr. William H. Bennett, II in October, 2001 then, on November 1, 2001, Bishop Michael V. Kelsey, Sr., State Bishop, appointed her as the State Director of Evangelism for the Washington, D.C. and Vicinity Areas, where she continues to serve in that capacity.  Through this appointment, Pastor Burrell has been involved in preaching, teaching, training, planning and with her team, implementing creative evangelistic strategies to win the lost at any cost, on both the State and International levels.  One particular strategy involved Pastor Burrell spearheading, for three consecutive years, a major Thanksgiving food distribution in Southeast Washington, DC, whereby over 16 Pastors and their congregations assisted in providing 400 families with non-perishable food, personal care items, health screening and the gospel presentation through mini-worship services.
